Walnut's signature dark, swirling patterns which set off each plank as a distinct part of the finished floor, offering a rare and completely unique look. The fluid movement in the grain gives walnut floors a dynamic, ever-new character that pleases the eye each time you look at it. Walnut blends comfortably in both rustic and formal settings and creates a floor that will last for generations. The dark tones of walnut are perfect for use in rooms such as a library, study, or office where you wish to create a theme of warm ambiance. Customers can choose between American, Burmese, or distressed walnut.
The signature collection walnut is an engineered hardwood 3 9/16" wide with a 1/2" thickness (3.2mm wear layer of wood) and a micro-beveled edge. It is mounted on 7-ply birchback. It has a high moisture resistance structure that is suitable to be installed over heating systems.
The galleria collection walnut is an engineered hardwood 3 3/4" wide with a 9/16" thickness (4mm wear layer of wood) and a square edge. It is mounted on 8-ply, cross-ply plywood backing. The adhesives used in making galleria collection are phenolic glue which is free from formaldehyde. The grooves on the backside of each board allow for conforming to slight irregularities in the sub-floor area and also act as heat vents where radiant heating is installed. This product can be installed over radiant heating systems.
